Before testing, troubleshoot the multiplex control system (see page
22-273
).
Remove the dashboard lower cover.
Disconnect the under-dash fuse/relay box connectors B, F, J, X and Y.
NOTE: All connectors are wire side of female terminals.
UNDER-DASH FUSE/RELAY BOX CONNECTOR B (6P)
UNDER-DASH FUSE/RELAY BOX CONNECTOR G (10P)
UNDER-DASH FUSE/RELAY BOX CONNECTOR J (8P)
UNDER-DASH FUSE/RELAY BOX CONNECTOR X (8P)
UNDER-DASH FUSE/RELAY BOX CONNECTOR Y (13P)
Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary and recheck the system.
If the terminals are OK, go to step 5.
