CAUTION

Frequent inhalation of brake pad dust, regardless of material composition, could be hazardous to your health.

  • Avoid breathing dust particles.
  • Never use an air hose or brush to clean brake assemblies. Use an appropriate vacuum cleaner.

Remove, disassemble, inspect, reassemble and install the caliper and note the following items:

  1. Rubber grease
  2. Silicone grease
  3. CALIPER PIN
  4. CALIPER BRACKET
  5. PIN BOOT, Replace.
  6. BANJO BOLT

    34 Nm (3.5 kgf/m, 25 lbf/ft)

  7. BRAKE HOSE
  8. CALIPER BOLTS

    32 Nm (3.3 kgf/m, 24 lbf/ft)

  9. BLEED SCREW

    9 Nm (0.9 kgf/m, 7 lbf/ft)

  10. CALIPER BODY
  11. PISTON BOOT, Replace.
  12. PISTON
  13. PISTON SEAL, Replace.
  14. BRAKE PADS
  15. SEALING WASHERS, Replace.
  16. OUTER PAD SHIM
  17. WEAR INDICATOR

    Install inner pad with its wear indicator downward.

  18. INNER PAD SHIM B
  19. INNER PAD SHIM A
  20. PIN BOOTS, Replace.
  21. CALIPER PIN
  22. CALIPER BRACKET
  23. PAD RETAINERS
