Engine Removal (cont'd)

  1. Remove the alternator (see page 4-31).
  1. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) hose bracket (A) and P/S hose bracket (B).

  1. Remove the alternator lower bracket (A), then remove the A/C compressor (B) without disconnecting the A/C hoses.
  1. Remove the radiator cap.
  2. Raise the hoist to full height.
  3. Remove the front tyres/wheels.
  4. Remove the splash shield.

  1. Loosen the drain plug in the radiator, drain the engine coolant (see page 10-8).
  2. Drain the transmission fluid. Reinstall the drain plug using a new washer:
  • Manual transmission (see page 13-3).
  • Automatic transmission (see page 14-122).
  • Honda multi matic (see page 14-312).
  1. Drain the engine oil. Reinstall the drain bolt using a new washer (see page 8-5).
