- Release the clips hold the door panel (A) with a commercially available trim pad remover (B), then remove the door panel by pulling it upward, and disconnecting the power window switch connector (C) (for some models). Remove the door panel with as little bending as possible to avoid creasing or breaking it.

- Install the door panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Replace any damaged clips.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the rod is connected properly.
- If applicable, install the regulator handle so it points forward and up at a 45° angle with the glass fully closed.

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Raise the glass fully.
- Remove these items:
- Door panel (see page 20-15)
- Plastic cover, as necessary (see page 20-5)
- Release the inner handle rod (A) and lock rod (B) from the rod holder (C), and with power door lock, remove the screws, then remove the actuator (D) from the door.
