  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (ll).
  2. Measure the voltage between the No. 1 terminal of the interlock relay connector and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?

YES - Go to step 10.

NO - Repair open or short in the wire between the No. 1 terminal of the interlock relay connector and the under-dash fuse/relay box.

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Check for continuity between the No. 3 terminal of the interlock relay connector and body found.

INTERLOCK RELAY CONNECTOR

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 12.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the No. 3 terminal of the interlock relay connector and ground (G451), or repair poor ground (G451).

  1. Check for continuity between the No. 5 terminal of the interlock relay connector and the No. 3 terminal of the interlock control unit connector.

INTERLOCK CONTROL UNIT CONNECTOR

Wire side of female terminals

Is there continuity?

YES - Go to step 13.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the No. 5 terminal of the interlock relay connector and the interlock control unit.
